Irvin Cancels April 21 Senior Expo

HARRISBURG – In light of the coronavirus pandemic currently impacting the state, Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) has decided to cancel his annual Senior Expo scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Smithfield Fire Hall in Huntingdon.

Irvin Suspending Walk-In Service at District Offices Due to Coronavirus Concerns

HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) today announced his district offices in Huntingdon and Port Matilda will not be providing walk-in service until further notice. This change in policy is keeping in line with state government and health officials who have mandated the closure of all non-essential state offices.

Irvin to Host Robert E. Gensimore Memorial Bridge Dedication Ceremony

WHAT: Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) will host a bridge dedication ceremony for local PennDOT employee Robert Gensimore, who was killed in the line of duty on Feb. 17, 2018. The bridge is located along State Route 453 in Tyrone Township, Blair County. Irvin authored the legislation to name the bridge, which was signed into law as part of Act 59 of 2019.

Irvin, Ward Announce $500,000 for New Retaining Wall Along Pennsylvania Avenue in Mount Union Borough

HARRISBURG – Funding to address a major transportation and safety concern in Mount Union Borough has been approved today by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) under the Multimodal Transportation Fund. A grant of $500,000 has been awarded to the borough to replace the retaining wall along Pennsylvania Avenue Linear Park, according to Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) and Sen. Judy Ward (R-Blair/Fulton/Cumberland/Franklin/Huntingdon), who both advocated strongly for the funding.

Irvin Honors the Late Capt. Joseph Giacobello with Bridge Naming

HARRISBURG – This past weekend, a ceremony was held in Mount Union Borough for the dedication of the Captain Joseph S. Giacobello Memorial Bridge. Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) authored the legislation for the bridge dedication, which was signed into law as a part of Act 59 of 2019.
