HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) will host veterans’ assistance hours on Wednesday, Jan. 9, and Wednesday, Feb. 13, at which time veterans can meet with a veterans’ service officer from the American Legion to have their questions answered about benefits and services available to them.

“I offer these services so that area veterans can have personalized service to help them navigate the sometimes complex or frustrating Veterans Administration system,” said Irvin. “The specialist is also a great resource of information on the many benefits and services available to veterans and their families. Call today to set up an appointment.”

Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits.

The veterans’ service officer will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Irvin’s district office at 612 Pennsylvania Ave. in Huntingdon.

Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

To schedule an appointment, please call Irvin’s office at (814) 644-2996.
