HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) has announced he will have a veterans’ service officer from the American Legion in his district office on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and Wednesday, Dec. 12, to meet with area veterans and answer their questions in regard to benefits and services available to them.
The veterans’ service officer will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Irvin’s district office at 612 Pennsylvania Ave. in Huntingdon.
“This is a great personalized service for veterans and their family members,” said Irvin. “I encourage area veterans to call and make an appointment if they have questions or would like assistance with a matter pertaining to the benefits and services they have earned.”
Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
To schedule an appointment, please call Irvin’s office at (814) 644-2996.
