HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) today announced that he will have a veterans’ service officer from the American Legion in his district office on Wednesday, July 11, and Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to meet with area veterans and answer their questions in regard to benefits and services available to them.

The special hours will take place at Irvin’s Huntingdon district office at 612 Pennsylvania Ave. in Huntingdon.

“These hours are a great opportunity for area veterans to come in a sit down one on one with someone who can answer their questions and help them navigate the Veterans Administration system,” said Irvin. “I encourage anyone interested in this service to call today and schedule an appointment.”

Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

To schedule an appointment, please call Irvin’s office at (814) 644-2996.
