Call now to schedule an appointment
HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) has announced he will have a veterans’ service officer from the American Legion in his district office on the second Wednesday of each month throughout the spring to meet with area veterans and answer their questions in regard to benefits and services available to them.
The veterans’ service officer will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates: March 14, April 11 and May 9. Meetings will take place at Irvin’s Huntingdon district office at 612 Pennsylvania Ave. in Huntingdon.
“This is a great service that provides one-on-one meetings to answer questions veterans may have and to help them navigate the VA system in order to obtain benefits and services they have earned,” said Irvin. “I encourage area veterans to take advantage of this service and call to make an appointment today.”
Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
To schedule an appointment, please call Irvin’s office at (814) 644-2996.
