Irvin to Offer Veterans Assistance Sept. 13 - Call now to schedule an appointment

August 18, 2017

HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Centre/Mifflin) has announced he will have a veterans’ service officer from the American Legion in his district office on Wednesday, Sept. 13, to meet with area veterans and answer their questions in regard to benefits and services available to them.

“This service is a valuable resource to many area veterans who may wish to have the opportunity to sit down with someone face to face and have their questions answered,” said Irvin. “I encourage those needing assistance to call my office and set up an appointment.”

Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

The service officer will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Irvin’s Huntingdon district office, located at 612 Pennsylvania Ave. in Huntingdon. To schedule an appointment, please call (814) 644-2996.
