Irvin to Host Two Upcoming Seniors for Safe Driving Programs in March - Attendees eligible for a discount on auto insurance
February 7, 2020
HARRISBURG – Rep. Rich Irvin (R-Huntingdon/Mifflin/Centre) will host two, one-day Seniors for Safe Driving programs to help sharpen the driving skills of older motorists. The programs will be held on Thursday, March 5, and Thursday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fellowship Center at Westminster Woods, 360 Westminster Drive in Huntingdon.
“This is a great program tailored specifically for older drivers,” said Irvin. “Both first-time attendees, as well as those just needing a refresher, are welcome to attend.”
The Seniors for Safe Driving program is beneficial for older drivers looking to improve their driving skills through gaining a better knowledge on how to adjust their driving techniques and habits to compensate for many of the challenges facing older motorists.
The program is open to drivers age 55 and older. There is no on-the-road driving required and no exam will be given. At the completion of the class, motorists will be eligible to receive a minimum 5% discount on their auto insurance premiums.
Individuals interested in attending one of the class days can register online at SeniorsForSafeDriving.com or call 1-800-559-4880. Cost for the class is $16.
For additional information, call Irvin’s district office at 814-644-2996.
